Jim Underwood received his B.S. from the University of Montana in Business Administration/Economics and his M.A. from Liberty University in Pastoral Counseling. Although most of his professional experience has been building consumer brands, his passion is for ministry and touching lives through the Arts. In 1999 he returned to his first love – theater. He has spent 20 years writing, directing, producing, and acting in major ministry productions/musicals. In 2016, Jim moved from stage to film forming Healing Tree Productions. The mission of this organization is to make sure people know "they are loved...their lives matter...and there is Hope." This organization was focused on family-friendly projects that have an edge. He teamed up with Next Exit Productions to address the opioid crisis on our streets. He wrote, directed, and acted in the full-length ministry feature film called Finding Home. It is used in inner city and prison ministries to educate and encourage. In addition to his professional experience, stage, film, and writing endeavors, he has been very active in various ministries that serve the community and internationally. These include the Denver Rescue Mission, Saving Moses, and Under Construction Prison Ministries. He has served in a variety of roles over the last ten years with CTN, serving the network in their mission to transform lives. His heart is for people that need Hope. In 2007, he founded Healing Tree Ministries. Jim loves to spend time with his wife, Peggy, and their family. He loves to hike, bike, fly fish, write, read, and travel.
